How do I join Mumble?
It’s very similar to Teamspeak.
- Download the client from here
- Connect to the address: voice.thesentinelalliance.net (Menu > Server > Connect > Add new)
- If you have a forum account use the same username and enter in your forum password when asked.

What’s Mumble like?

When did you decide this?
We’ve been around for 6+ years, hosting a Teamspeak server for 3 years and have been talking about moving away for 2 years. It was made final and Mumble was chosen as an alternative 3 months ago.
This is not a new or random choice and we hope everyone who wanted to has had a say on the subject. That is what the community meetings where we first announced this are intended for.
Why are we moving?
Teamspeak is expensive to run, server licences cost over £230 per year not even including the actual server hardware costs which are several times higher.
We were previously using a non-profit license which contriversially denies us the rights to mention donations even solely to cover costs. So we’re moving as discussed further here.
